Constellium announced today that Catherine Athènes, Vice President Group Sustainability and Public Affairs Europe, was elected to the Board of Directors of the Aluminum Stewardship Initiative (ASI), a global nonprofit, multi-stakeholder, standards setting and certification organization for the aluminium value chain.
With over 30 years of international experience in sustainability, corporate strategy, marketing and sales, Ms. Athènes has spent over two decades working in the aluminium industry, driving Constellium’s sustainability journey since 2018.
“I am very honored to join ASI’s Board of Directors,” said Catherine Athènes, Vice President Group Sustainability and Public Affairs Europe. “Constellium has supported the Aluminium Stewardship Initiative since its beginning and I look forward to contributing to their mission to foster responsible aluminium production, sourcing and stewardship.”
“Catherine brings many years of experience working closely with ASI, including as a founding member representative in the formative stages and then in the Standards Committee for six years. We are looking forward to her contributions as a Director to ASI’s multi-stakeholder Board,” said Dr. Fiona Solomon, ASI CEO. Constellium is one of ASI’s founding members and currently has four fully certified sites: Singen (Rolling and Extrusion), Gottmadingen, Dahenfeld, and Neuf-Brisach.
