Constellium hosted its annual THANK YOU Awards ceremony on March 21 to celebrate teams of employees whose talent and perseverance have advanced the company’s strategy in Health & Safety, Sustainability, Customers, Operational Excellence, and Innovation.
During a virtual ceremony to announce the winners, CEO Jean-Marc Germain commented: “The THANK YOU Awards honor teams across Constellium for their extraordinary efforts to ensure our employees work safely, our sustainability journey gains momentum, our relationships with customers are strong, our operations are efficient, and we continue to be a hallmark of innovation. On behalf of all of us at Constellium, I extend our gratitude and congratulations to all the nominees and winners.”
This year’s THANK YOU Award recipients include:
- Health & Safety - The Decin, Czech Republic plant won gold for implementing a smart status recorder on their crane to catalog its movements, thereby improving the safety of lifting equipment and ensuring timely preventive maintenance.
- Sustainability – The gold award was presented to the Neuf-Brisach, France plant for the efforts of its “C Elles” Women’s Council to improve working conditions and quality of life for women at the plant. They have also partnered with “Elles bougent,” a national association to promote women in industry, including securing a grant from the ConstelliumCARES philanthropy fund to promote STEM education and careers to middle and high school students.
- Customers – An international team from the Aerospace and Transportation business unit received the gold award for expanding the use of Airware® and advanced 7xxx plates on a new aerospace program.
- Operations – The gold award went to the Extrusion plant in Sierre, Switzerland for improving productivity by optimizing its energy performance.
- Innovation – The Singen, Germany plant won the gold award for implementing a booster on one of its automotive furnaces, improving speed, capacity, and energy efficiency.
- A Special Award of recognition was presented to the Human Resources team for the Leadership Development Program, a global learning and development initiative that offers mid-level leaders a broader vision of the business as well as tools to reflect on their leadership style and inspire their teams. Last year, the program received a silver award from the Brandon Hall Group for “Best Unique or Innovative Leadership Development Program.”
Additional teams were honored with silver and bronze THANK YOU Awards for other projects that advance Constellium’s strategic objectives. Congratulations to all the winners and nominees! This spring, local celebrations will be hosted to present sustainable trophies to the winning team members.
